UGP Racing's intake manifold designs take advantage of high air-flow characteristics, inertial effects, and pressure-wave tuning to achieve air density in cylinders that substantially exceeds atmospheric pressure. In naturally aspirated applications UGP Racing intake manifolds are capable of producing as much as 10 psi positive pressure at the intake valve. These manifolds are fabricated from aircraft quality 6061 aluminum. They are 100% precision TIG welded for maximum strength and durability. All flanges are CNC cut from thick 6061 aluminum. UGP Racing manifolds are direct replacements for stock intake manifolds and they provide proper clearance for factory or aftermarket strut tower braces. The throttle body installs in the factory location allowing the use of stock or aftermarket air filter and intake plumbing. Although it is not necessary in naturally aspirated applications, air/fuel tuning is recommended to maximize horsepower gains and reliability. In naturally aspirated applications a 5% to 10% power increase is typical, in forced induction applications a 15% to 20% power increase is typical. UGP Racing intake manifolds are available in bare brushed aluminum or coated with a high temperature ceramic based paint in bronze or black.
